Around 750,000 tonnes of sugar are converted in the german confectionery industry every year. One of the major users is the chocolate company Ritter in Waldenbuch. More than three million bars are produced there every day. The sugar required for this is delivered several times a day by road trains and unloaded into storage tanks. To guarantee operational foreign body management, a knock-out factor within the framework of the HACCP-concept, it is necessary to effectively prevent contamination with non-original materials. For this purpose, PACO was commissioned to develop a filter solution to separate potential foreign particles before the delivered raw materials are transferred to the in-house storage tanks.
